Position Title:
Reception Volunteers
Reception volunteers are needed
for our North Delta office. Volunteers perform a variety of duties to support and
maintain the agency services. Volunteers provide reception coverage to ensure that
all callers, both in person and by telephone, are greeted with courtesy and respect
and are assisted in a timely manner. Reception volunteers also assist with other
directed duties.
The commitment is for at least one year.

Volunteer Drivers
Volunteer drivers are needed in the
Ladner/Tsawwassen area to take seniors to and from their medical appointments. This is an
on call position. Volunteers must be flexible, enjoy working with seniors and have a clean
driver's abstract. Drivers are reimbursed for mileage.

Seniors Phone Shopping Call Taker and Shoppers
Volunteers for these positions are
required in Tsawwassen. We are asking for a time commitment of three hours one day per week.

Volunteer Visitors
Deltassist is looking for volunteers
who would enjoy spending time with a senior.
Volunteer applicants are required to agree
to a Criminal Record Check. Once you're registered as a volunteer, you are matched with a senior,
living in their own home in Delta.
As a Volunteer Visitor, you would be
providing companionship and friendship, share common interests and perhaps go on outings around
the community.
Through your commitment as a volunteer,
you would be helping a senior maintain their independence and stay connected to our community.
Do you speak a second language? We have
seniors waiting to be matched with volunteers who can converse in Greek and Farsi.
The Volunteer Visiting program, for most
seniors, reduces social isolation helping make a marked improvement in the quality of life and
