During the Christmas holidays we are overwhelmed with the supportive community that brings hope to those who need that healing presence.

Deltassist distributes hundreds of Christmas Hampers and thousands of Christmas Toys each year. Hundreds of volunteers make each Christmas better as they have done for over the last 25+ plus years. An amazing testimony to the spirit and culture of Delta.

Fill a Stocking
A child in need will have a better Christmas! Every year Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall hosts a Stocking for Kids program for Deltassist. Empty stockings are available for pick up from Tsawwassen Town Centre Mall. Please call the Mall's promotion office at 604-943-1735 to arrange a pick up or fill your own stocking and drop it off at Deltassist's office. Stocking Stuffer Suggestions - Click Here

Christmas Ideas, Games for Kids, Valued Toy Donations
Bring a smile to a child's face this Christmas. Baby toys, Barbie, games for girls - donations will all be placed for distribution at Deltassist's annual toy depot. This year's toy shop for children from birth to 16 years of age will be open from December 12 - 15, 2011. It would be greatly appreciated if donations were dropped off at Deltassist offices by December 9th. However, donations will be accepted into the New Year as well to allow for after Christmas regifting for next year.

Donate Food for Hampers
Each year Deltassist, in partnership with the service clubs of Delta, distributes food hampers to low income families and seniors in our communities.
Help Delta families and seniors celebrate the holidays with food on the table.
Please donate non-perishable food items for the Christmas Helper Hampers. Staples we are most in need of include breakfast cereals, tinned ham and chicken, juice, tinned hearty meals (stew), peanut butter, rice, pasta sauce, and hot chocolate. Please note that we cannot accept expired or homemade goods.
Food can be dropped off at both Deltassist locations.

Sponsor A Family
If you'd like more hands-on involvement, our sponsored hamper program may be a good fit. Prepare a personalized food hamper for a family in our Christmas program. Families are selected at random and can only be sponsored once every three years. While the program is anonymous, we will provide you with information such as the gender and ages of all children as well as food likes and dislikes. Sponsor Requirements and Guidelines - Click Here

Display an Angel Tree
Is your workplace or business looking to be more involved at Christmas? Consider participating in Deltassist's Angel Tree Program. Display your Christmas tree with special paper angels. Each angel has a gender and age of a child on the back. Your clients, members or staff can take one (or as many as they want) and donate a toy for that child. Deltassist volunteers are available to pick up toys as needed.
