We have volunteers who make a daily phone call Monday – Friday between 9am- 4:30pm to seniors and persons with limited social contact. Phoners provide a link with:

  • a link with the community
  • a social contact
  • a feeling of independence

Volunteers will shop on behalf of a senior unable to go shopping or who needs assistance while shopping. Volunteers will:
  • help prepare your grocery list
  • read flyers and comparison shop
  • shop for or with you
  • help deliver your groceries

Volunteers are recruited, screened and matched wit Delta seniors who would benefit from companionship. Helping to alleviate seniors’ isolation and loneliness, volunteers spend quality time visiting, walking, shopping and providing that community contact to the senior with whom they are matched.


Volunteer assist pre-registered seniors with one-time requests for assistance such as: gardening and yard maintenance, snow and ice removal.
